Meet a highly skilled drummer with over two decades of dedication to honing his craft. He began his musical journey at the age of three, driven by a passion for drumming that's both artistic and innovative.

Throughout his career, he has worked with various groups spanning diverse genres and styles, recorded on numerous albums, and toured extensively over the past decade. He prides himself on being a well-rounded drummer and a classically trained percussionist, thanks to his training with instructors from different backgrounds and genre types.

During his school years, he received jazz musicianship awards and soloist awards from several universities, including Northern State University, The University of Mary, The University of Minnesota Morris, Augustana University, The University Of South Dakota, and South Dakota State University. He also received the Best Rhythm Section Player award and a Jazz Improvisation award at The University of Mary.

Throughout his career, he has played alongside great musicians such as three-time Grammy winner Jeff Coffin from Bela Fleck And The Flecktones and The Dave Matthews Band, trumpet player Rashawn Ross of The Dave Matthews Band, and several other notable jazz musicians.

After high school, he moved to Denver, CO, where he worked for Savior Custom Drums during the day and played various gigs at night. He later returned home to Aberdeen, SD, to work at Pauer Sound and Music, where he not only worked at the store but also did live event production, audio engineering in their studio, and taught drums. He later moved to Sioux Falls, SD, to work as a music programs facilitator at Brennan Rock and Roll Academy, drumming at night whenever his schedule permitted.

Today, he is an integral part of The Spill Canvas band and has been with them for eight years. Their latest album Conduit, released in March 2021 on Pure Noise Records, has been widely appreciated.
